Twelve A6 postcard designs in ten styles — from classic to cyberpunk. Pick a design, type your names, date and venues, then change whatever you like right on the card: the words, the colours, the fonts and the whole layout.
- Pick a design — single-sided, or with a front and a back.
- Change the layout — move elements, add a photo or a QR code.
- Print — 4 invitations per A4 sheet, or a PDF for the print shop.
Wedding invitations, step by step
Most couples send invitations two to three months before the wedding, and a save-the-date up to six months ahead for guests travelling far. The front of the card holds what must be there: names, date, time and venues. Keep the back for the schedule, directions and how to reply.
- Designs — classic with a double frame, botanical, gold monogram, floral arch, with a photo, nautical, blush, La dolce vita, boho, handwritten, cyberpunk and outrun.
- Styles — dress any design in one of ten colour palettes, and change the fonts separately.
- Layout — "Edit layout" shows the grid: drag elements, resize them, and add new ones into any empty space.
- QR code — sends guests to your wedding website, where they can RSVP without a phone call.
Need somewhere for that QR code to go? calm.wedding gives guests one page with the schedule, their seat and a shared photo gallery. More on printing codes inthe wedding QR code guide, and for the day itself there is ourwedding newspaper.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wedding invitation maker free?
Yes. Every design, style and layout change, unlimited printing, no watermark and no account.
What size are the invitations?
A6 postcards (105 × 148 mm, about 4 × 6 in), portrait or landscape depending on the design. They fit a C6 envelope.
How do I print invitations at home?
Choose "4 invitations per A4 sheet". Four A6 cards fit on one A4 page — cut it in half both ways. For a double-sided card, turn on double-sided printing. Smooth 200–250 gsm card looks best.
How do I get them printed professionally?
Choose "A6 cards", click "Print or save as PDF" and pick "Save as PDF" as the printer. You get one page per side of the card, ready for a print shop to run as many copies as you need.
Can I change the colours, fonts and layout?
Yes. Ten colour styles and twelve font pairings work with any design, and "Edit layout" lets you move, resize, remove and add elements: a photo, a monogram, the schedule, a QR code.
What should a wedding invitation say?
Your names, the date and time, the ceremony and reception venues, and how and by when to reply. The schedule, directions and gift notes are better on the back or on a website behind a QR code.
