Wedding place cards, step by step

Place cards come last, once the seating plan is settled — usually the week before the wedding. That is why this maker starts from the list: paste the names with their tables and every card is there at once. If someone moves table at the last minute, you fix one line and reprint one sheet.

Still working on the seating plan? Our wedding seating plan guide helps. And if guests should find their seat on their phone too, calm.wedding shows them their table on the room plan. For a matching set, try the wedding invitations.

Frequently asked questions

Is the place card maker free?

Yes. Every design, colour and layout change, any number of guests, no watermark and no account.

How do I make place cards for every guest at once?

Paste your list — one guest a line, the table after a semicolon. The quickest way is to copy two columns from your seating spreadsheet: the name and the table. Every guest gets their card straight away.

What size are the place cards?

A place card is 9 × 5 cm (about 3.5 × 2 in). A folded tent card is 9 × 10 cm folded in half, so the name shows to both sides of the table. A flat card lies on the plate or by the glass.

How do I print place cards at home?

Click "Print or save as PDF", choose A4, margins "none" and scale 100%. One A4 sheet holds 4 tent cards or 10 flat ones. Smooth 200–250 gsm card looks best; fold at the marks on the edges.

Do the place cards match the invitations?

Yes — they use the same twelve designs and ten styles as our wedding invitation maker, so picking the same design gives you a matching set.

Is our guest list sent anywhere?

No. The list stays in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
